Without the use of unnecessary adapters or spacers, a quiet & stable platform is ensured throughout the life of the product. The ITA for SRAM DUB Road comes in two bearing options. The first option is our low drag, long life Standard Bearing with hardened-steel races and our super-round CeramicSpeed balls. The second option is our Coated Bearing, which uses those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. The EVO386 standard is designed for oversized spindles. CeramicSpeed's kit for Shimano allows you to install Shimano or FSA cranks with 24mm spindles. The cups come with CeramicSpeed Bearings installed. Both CeramicSpeed Standard and Coated Bearings are available. Both utilize super smooth CeramicSpeed Balls and hardened-steel races. The latter has an additional metallic coating on the races to further smooth and harden the steel, further increasing life and lowering drag. The design of overlapping cups extending through the shell for EVO386 reduce the likelihood of creaking and increase the reliability of the system. The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings feature an average drag reduction of 75% compared to stock bottom brackets. That translates into frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set, which is the result of great design, hardened-steel races, and ceramic balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings are a step up as they reduce drag by 50% compared to our Standard Bearings and an improvement in bearing life by 60%. All Round Grease comes standard in the bearings, but can be replaced for lower drag TT and Track Grease or higher durability LongLife Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in the bearing when riding through messy conditions. The BB30 standard opened up design possibilities for frames. Adapting it for Shimano cranks takes a special machined aluminum threaded bottom bracket that threads into itself. Ours are finished with CeramicSpeed Bearings. You have two choices in terms of bearings. The first choice is our low drag, long life standard bearing with hardened-steel races and our super-round CeramicSpeed Balls. The second choice is our coated bearing, which uses those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. This bottom bracket works with cranks that have 24mm spindles. Bottom brackets have several variables, but within that, CeramicSpeed standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. That's thanks to balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The CeramicSpeed Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Coated Bearings see another big bump in performance. The coated races see a 50% drag reduction and an improvement in bearing life of 60%. Performance can be tuned by changing the grease. All Round Grease comes installed, but can be changed for lower drag TT and Track Grease, or higher durability LongLife Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in the bearing when riding through messy conditions.
