The Hope TR4 four-piston trail brake is designed for medium-duty use and delivers impressive braking power balanced with a firm and consistent lever feel. Super-smooth lever actuation provides excellent braking feedback for absolute control during trail riding. The increased lever hook provides greater control and security during aggressive riding, while a new dimple design improves comfort during hard braking and retains grip in all weather conditions. A new cam design decreases the free lever stroke while maintaining the feel and modulation in the braking zone. The brake features a roller bearing main pivot and 2 guide bushes to keep the piston running perfectly smooth and straight. The one-piece caliper design delivers the best stiffness to weight ratio, resulting in improved lever feel and increased power. Larger pistons increase the brake ratio for more power, and the larger pad shared with the GR4 caliper improves lever feel and consistency. A new bore cap design decreases the overall width of the caliper for easier packaging and better frame compatibility. The brake offers a larger adjustment range for better compatibility with third party hubs and frame combinations. A bleed port added to the master cylinder body enables bleeding without removing the lid.
